For those who like the finer things in life or are just celebrating a special occasion!
Urbane (CBD) – it has won the award for Brisbane’s best degustation multiple times for a reason. This isn’t just a feast, it’s an absolute occasion. Well worth every cent of the price tag (but for a less exxy version, try their sister restaurant The Euro next door!).
Three Blue Ducks (CBD) – paddock to plate philosophy by celebrity chef Darren Roberston, pairing home style cooking with fine dining flavour and an epic cocktail menu, quite a treat!
C’est Bon (Woolloongabba) – arguably one of Brisbane’s best French restaurants.
Madame Rouge (Valley) – also arguably one of Brisbane’s best French restaurants, but with the added benefit of cocktail hour!
Allium (New Farm) – for fine dining feel without the fine dining price tag, headed up by one of the previous executive chefs of the Sofitel with the principal that inventive fine dining shouldn’t only be reserved for special occasions.
Their degustation is a bargain at 6 courses for $85 or 9 courses for $110, or there’s the ‘shortlist’ of 4 courses for $55 for lunch on selected weekdays. An absolute must for those who love fine food.
Pony (CBD) – less expensive than typical fine dining but just as impressive, and with a view of the river to boot
Aria (CBD) – Matt Moran’s famous Brisbane venue which happens to do a rather excellent two / three course lunch deal!
85 MiskinSt (Toowong) – two words: breakfast degustation. Life changing!
